From the beginning of our Congregation, the ideals of Saint Francis were an inspirational force in the life of Blessed Angela.  As her daughters, we identify our distinctive Felician charism with the Evangelical, Ecclesial, Eucharistic and Marian aspects of her Franciscan spirituality.

We follow Christ in his obedience to the Father especially in the humility of the Incarnation and the love revealed in his Passion and Resurrection.
We imitate Christ in our life of evangelical poverty which calls us to penance, continuous conversion and self-denial.
We live in chastity which frees us to love and praise the Lord in all his creation with the joyful spirit of our Seraphic Father.

This life-size bronze statue of St. Francis of Assisi stands in the choir section of the chapel of the Provincial House in Rio Rancho, NM.

Alison Aragon, a talented young artist of Albuquerque, NM, created this magnificent piece.

The sculpture depicts St. Francis, overflowing with the love of God, playing two pieces of wood, as he dances down the roads of the Rieti Valley near Assisi, Italy.  He loved music and believed that all of creation  held a melody of praise for the Creator God.
