Sister Carol Marie Wiatrek, Provincial Councilor, Sister Mary Barbara Kopecki, Provincial Secretary, Sister Feliz Gil-Jimenez, Director of Temporary Professed, Sister Lorena, Sister Mary Seraphine Moynier, Provincial Minister, Sister Danat Marie Brysch, Provincial Vicar and Sister Mary Ellen Sturm, Provincial Treasurer. FORMATION:  Growing in Discipleship Part II: Reflection on Vows I, Sister Mary Edna Pearl Esquibel, vow to Almighty God Chastity, Poverty and Obedience..."  These were the words I spoke on July 9, 2006, as I placed my vows into the hands of our Provincial Minister, Sister Mary  Seraphine Moynier, at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary  Provincial House chapel in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

This Sunday of my First Profession felt more like a homecoming celebration.  It has been a long road to this point from when I first began exploring my vocation with the Felician Sisters in 1998.  The decision to publicly step forward and profess vows for the first time, however, was easy because it flowed out of a deep conviction of God's love for me, the support of my family, friends and Sisters.

I am grateful to everyone who walked with me in this journey.  In a special way I offer my appreciation to our Provincial Administration, my Postulant Director, Sister Danat Marie Brysch, and my  Novice Director, Sister  Mary Claire Kehl.  It has been a pleasure and an honor to have worked with, played with, prayed with and learned from all of you.

As I now begin the next stage of my vocation as a vowed religious, I step forward with the grace of knowing Jesus as the center of my life.  Out of love for him, I desire nothing more than to give myself wholeheartedly as a witness to the kingdom of God in service to others through the charism of Blessed Mary Angela Turszkowska.
