AT THE FRANCISCAN FEDERATION CONFERENCE Annually at the Franciscan Federation Conference various people are honored for their ministry in peacemaking. Among those celebrated this year at the Peacemaker Banquet on July 28, 2006 in Rochester, New York, were Sister Veronica Marie Lucero, CSSF and Sister Margaret Marie Padilla, CSSF.

These sisters were recognized for their untiring efforts on behalf of the families of the miners killed in mining accidents in Coahuila, Mexico. They minister in the Mexico missions.
